INKTOBER 2018
Following the #Inktober2018 prompt list, I drew an environment each day. Over time, it became the map for my comic Sincerely Elise. You can cross reference most of the days with the map! (Some arent on the map because the story was still in development)

Day 01
The Mushslush Floodlands. A mushroom forest full of spores and poisonous air. Typically where Sentries rest as they dont need clean air to live. They commune with the local species that live inside it. At the center of the forest underground is Captain Sharpside’s hideout. Very unsafe for humans to be!
Day 02
The Eye of Con' Stella. A 200-300 ft tall tree which grows straight out of the cornea of Con’ Stella, a fallen Dyn. The Dyn are a god-like species of planet sized dinosaurs that would traverse among space before this all started. They would often war against each other, having epic space brawls until they eventually wiped eachother out. Now spread across space are planets filled with fallen Dyn, often used as land masses for new civilizations. As for Con’ Stella, the walls of the cornea are incredibly hard to break so the only entrance is up where the tree pierces through the eye and the tear duct . On this tree are inhabitants that have made themselves at home, creating small shelters going all around and up it. The tree is hollowed out.
Day 03
Spinescape. During the Planetary Dyn Wars, Umond, another fallen Dyn, was tortured, killed and crash landed on a planet which came to be known as Alos. The huge scar on his spine is from another space dino’s flame breath before he went down. In the current day it has just become a giant beachside.
Day 04
Lepton, the future city. A crystal ballroom remodeled to be a research facility at the top of a very high class community. The town is shrouded in gravitational anomalies due to how the Dyn impacted the planet during its fall. It houses the smartest and wisest people on all of the planet. Learning how to utilize the latest magic and tech.
Day 05
Commontown. The normal folk travel this land on giant pigeon-like creatures called chocobos *cough* I mean Speedbeaks, they come in all different shapes, sizes, and colors. This village is most famously known for its Speedbeak breeding program headed by none other then Willy. The bearded man that is only unique because of his beard!
Day 06
The Spill. A port town located right inside Umond’s mouth. The residual drooling is spilled out into the ocean contaminating the surrounding area. Boats can travel on it but anybody who swims in it will meet a toxic demise
Day 07
Tail-Tip Summit. Due to the impact of the Dyn's fall, the gravitational shift on the planet of Alos was completely thrown off and since then there has been weird places where the surface gravity is adjusted. The tails of both Umond and Con’ Stella are lifted upwards to the sky, holding outposts and forests on top of it!
Day 08
Prongwall Island. An island located between Umond and a smaller child-sized Dyn known as Stelly. This island is a star shaped facility. It’s right next to Lepton and its believed that Lepton works very closely with Prongwall Island to achieve advancements in society.
Day 09
The Incubation plant. Directly under Prongwall island is a moon sized Egg, believed to be the egg of the last living Dyn. It’s unknown whether its alive in that egg or not but the people of Lepton and Prongwall work tirelessly to protect and study it.
Day 10
Crane Falls. A river that passes out of Ava’s small cove and into the ocean. The very last bit is a rocky waterfall that you HAVE to bypass to gain easy access to the rest of the landmass. She decided to pick this place because she wont have any visitors unless they can come UP the waterfall. Her cove is still inhabited with various species and she has plenty of water to survive but she’s never gone beyond the waterfall.
Day 11
Scarsite. An “X” carved across the skull on the youngest fallen Dyn, Stelly. Made by scavengers to gain access to the inside of Stelly’s head and sell parts to higher bidding researchers. They have have created a rogue base around it and they take out anyone who trespasses.
Day 12
Ahma's Grave. A beached whale that lies on the Spinescape. During the coldest era, this whale and its rider ended up fighting their way through all these trials and tribulations only to fail in the end. The whale sacrificed itself to keep his rider warm and so reluctantly, the rider remodeled its body into a small outpost to help keep people who pass by warm and fed.
Day 13
Brain Gate. A dome shaped science center closed off to the public. This center focuses heavily on experimenting on Umond’s brain. Nobody on the outside of this knows what they are doing inside. So believe they are working to make advancements in society or working to someone breath life back into it.
Day 14
Turntown. A gargantuan colosseum that acts as a ticking clock. On top of the dial is a small village that has grown use to the constant movement. Every time the dial hits the 12 O'Clock mark the colosseum is filled up to the brim with water. Once it goes around again its drained. While the water is full, people are generally more happy, fun-loving, swim in it and treat it is a summer beachfest. However when it drains the tone completely shifts. People are nervous, frustrated and tense. A lot of darkness surrounds the time the water is drained, from grandscale battles on the floor, suicides, to “accidents.”
Day 15
Bonebridge Pass. A bridge that connects Umond’s base of his tale to the rest of it which was chopped off upon landing and progressively decayed. The bridge is incredibly unsteady over years of heavy use, under it is an extremely strong current that passes through and can take you under the surface within minutes.
Day 16
Spike Pike. On the end of Con’ Stella’s head is a thieves refuge, guarded by Pine Piercers. A a kind plant that grows in a cactus forest on Umond. The thieves who run the place imported them and used them as a defense mechanism to any outsider travelers. This refuge is run by bandit leader Gag Stomp. A man who works on bootleg Sentry’s and steals parts to recreate hodgepodge deadlier versions. Which they can use as weapons.
Day 17
Blightside Burrow. A city completely surrounded by walls of infected flesh. The disease on Con’ Stella was given and transpired pre-impact so nobody has been able to understand what it is or how to cure it. It has stopped spreading since Con’ Stella’s death however it leaves people feeling incredibly sick when touching it.
Day 18
Subdrift Passage. A channel of interlocking tubes under the water that all connect beneath Con’ Stella, Stelly and Umond. Made to easily transport from one of the islands to another without taking a boat. They’ve been damage tested to remain stable through even the worse of disastrous events. They all meet at a data center in the middle of the ocean which keeps careful track of every inch. Making sure there are no dents or problems that could cause a nightmare.
Day 19
Pyrbelly Path.
The entire bottom half of Stelly was singed due to its meteoric fall stunting the growth of anything in that area. A place where plants are unable to grow, water is unable to run healthy, and the people are generally all gone.

Day 20
Dodgerock Dam. A dam built to prevent bigger rocks to come rolling down into Ava’s cove where her house is. The dam has been up for around 20 years and is beginning to show signs of breakage through its age.
Day 21
Pinhole Fields. With Umond’s crash landing came a contaminating substance from space that made people sick. Holes were created by fellow Sentrys to drain it out into the planet’s core. Now it’s a battlefield that many use as a way to filter out the dumb fighters who end up falling in. Many historic wars took place here in the reshaping of this planets civilization.
Day 22
The City of Echelon. A city that cooperates with Brain Gate as they try to make advancements with research on the Dyn. Also where the highest government is on the planet which means the most affluent. Echelon remains the richest city due to their success in political and agricultural accomplishments.
23.png
Mudslide Hill. The very slippery pathway up Umonds neck to his head. There’s quite a financial separation between Umond’s head and the rest of his body as his head is where all the development and research takes place. This creates a really healthy economy there. Where as the rest of the body is very bare of much civilization. Mostly interesting landmarks but no more big bustling cities.
Day 24
Peirce Neck Pass. Upon impact Con’ Stella was decapitated due to an incredibly sharp-tipped mountain. The mountain has since been almost hallowed out, holding a small community. At the base is a tunnel that goes all the way through the mountain out to the head or to the rest of the body.
Day 25
Cacctath Forest. A forest made of giant cactus. What more is there to say? Thats messed up.
